Privacy Matters Identity

Privacy Matters Identity is an identity theft protection membership program that provides quick, easy to use and cost-effective tools for members to ensure their personal information remains secure.

Privacy Matters Identity membership

Privacy Matters Identity members receive a personal membership ID number, information about benefits and on how to access them, and a confirmation of the terms of membership they agreed to at the time of enrollment. Membership lasts from enrollment until the time a member informs us, either by telephone or e-mail, of their intent to cancel. AP9 Privacy Matters Identity and IK9 Privacy Matters Identity members can contact us, via either our Customer Care Center or a toll-free number, whenever they have questions about their membership terms or the program. We are committed to resolving any concerns quickly and in a satisfactory way.

We maintain the highest standards of responsible corporate practice and employ stringent quality controls to ensure our practices meet or exceed industry standards and applicable law. Privacy Matters Identity members benefit from our own National Best Marketing Practices, which, in summary:

  • Provide a "no-questions-asked" refund policy for complaints about charges that are unauthorized. We promptly refund a member who claims they didn't authorize a fee charged by AP9 Privacy Matters Identity or IK9 Privacy Matters Identity.

  • Provide for full disclosure of membership benefits, billing and cancellation/refund terms. We obtain and verify members' express and unambiguous consent to program charges from Privacy Matters Identity.
Adaptive Marketing LLC® is proud that the framework of our National Best Marketing Practices was adopted by the Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) for their industry's Advanced Consent Marketing Guidelines. The ERA's guidelines have been commended by the Federal Trade Commission which, on March 31, 2003, issued a revised Telemarketing Sales Rule that, in essence, adopted our Best Marketing Practices provisions and made them federal law.

Privacy Matters Identity -- Privacy and Security Policy

Under our Privacy and Security Policy, we:

  • Collect only the personally identifiable information members expressly provide when they enroll in Privacy Matters Identity, as well as a unique identifier that we use to confirm information related to billing and sales.

  • Automatically collect technical information - for example, browser type, or IP address -- relating to a member when he or she visits the Privacy Matters Identity website.

  • Protect the security of an AP9 Privacy Matters Identity or IK9 Privacy Matters Identity member's information with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption during online transmission.

  • Meet the rigorous requirements of Verisign's security seal for online transactions.
In August 2001, to assist in the continuous improvement of our customer service and marketing practices, we created a Consumer Advisory Board. Included among the members of the Board are a former State Attorney General and several well-known consumer advocates.

We're proud of our commitment to protecting the personal privacy and information security of members of AP9 Privacy Matters Identity, IK9 Privacy Matters Identity.
